Your Councillors are constructively acting on residents’ concerns about fly-tipping across Broadland with the launch of the S.C.R.A.P. Fly-Tipping campaign.
Councillor John Fisher launched the campaign this morning to ensure that our communities remain clean and clear for all to enjoy, and that those who are responsible for fly-tipping in our communities are caught.
Fly-tipping is described by Broadland council as “waste that has been dumped illegally”. Broadland council “have a zero tolerance approach to fly-tipping and actively prosecute offenders, the penalty for flytipping is a fine of up to £50,000 or up to 5 years in prison”.
Residents are being urged to contact the police on 999 if they see anyone in the act of fly-tipping, and to report any areas that need to be cleared by visiting the Broadland Council Fly-Tipping pages, calling 01603 430534, or emailing contracts.envhealth@broadland.gov.uk
