John was a District Councillor 2007 until 2023, and has been a passionate champion for the people of Sprowston - as well as an incumbent councillor for Sprowston on Norfolk County Councillor. In this time he has shown dedication for the people in his ward, serving on the Environmental Excellence Panel and Planning Committee. In addition to his work on Broadland District Council, John has (and continues to) serve on Norfolk County Council. Having retired from a successful career, John now dedicates his time to bettering the lives of his residents. Locally, he's worked to oversee the transformation of the Sprowston Diamond Centre, taking it from an unused school and turning it into a vibrant community hub that houses popular recreational, childcare and commercial facilities to better the lives of families and businesses across Sprowston. In Norfolk, John is the Chairman of the Joint Museums Committee, overseeing and improving the ten museums across our fantastic county and ensuring the preservation of their fascinating exhibitions for the benefit of future generations.
