"I am thrilled to have been elected as a District Councillor for Old Catton and Sprowston West in the By-Election in September 2021. I'm proud that we put our arm around the Nation with a world-leading furlough scheme, ecstatic that we are smashing our very ambitious vaccination targets for COVID and delighted that we were able to get Brexit done, which I know so many of you voted for.
I have lived in this fine city for over 4 years but have been visiting for over a decade. I look forward to bringing my family up in the local area and taking advantage of all the excellent facilities that are on offer. I have first hand experience of life not going according to plan and in 2016 I became a below the knee amputee as a result of my military service. I have deployed all over the world and I'm a tenacious individual that loves to solve problems. My extensive experience as a Contracts Officer in the British Army means I can dig into the District Council contracts and support the Executive to ensure we are getting the best deals and value for money with our council taxes.
As someone who is married to a teacher and about to adopt our first child in October, I understand the importance of supporting our future generations through education and ensuring children have sufficient opportunities to grow and learn. I want to stand up for local residents who for too long have just been getting on with it. Four years ago I had to relearn how to stand on a prosthetic leg, now I want to stand for all of you."
